Fifty is the new thirty and January is the new week between Christmas and the New Year. I’ve repeated it often and I practice what I preach. As proof, John and I will be having our annual look back and look ahead breakfast tomorrow, the final day of January. No need to nurse regret over missing your end-of-year window or feel like you have to wait until next year to reflect properly.
We can do it on our own time and in our own way. There’s no wrong!
I’ll tell you what we plan to talk about during our reflection breakfast incase you want to plan one too. But first, I would love to hear from you.
For an upcoming episode of The Next Right Thing I’m hosting a conversation about those things in our lives that we’ve started but we’re not sure if they’re worth finishing.
It’s more natural to talk about the things we love and are saving our lives OR the things we’ve decided to stop. But what’s really interesting to me are those things, habits, products, goals, or decisions we’re trying on and still working to discern if they’re right for us or not.
Are you trying to wear barrel jeans but aren’t sure if you can pull it off (or if you even want to?)
Did you start reading a book everyone seems to love but you can’t quite get through it?
Have you tried a new-to-you spiritual practice but can’t yet find your groove?
Did you choose a word for the year but are already questioning if it’s a good fit?
That’s what I want to hear about from you! Click the button below and follow the instructions to record your answer to the question using the template provided: What’s something you’re trying that you’re still not sure about?
You can use this template in your response by the end of day Monday, February 3.
Hi I’m [YOUR NAME] from [CITY, STATE or CITY, COUNTRY] and I’ve been trying out [THE THING] but I’m not sure if it’s working for me because [WHY!?].
If you want feedback from me about the thing, be sure to ask a specific question at the end of your message. And keep them to one minute or less please and thank you.

Now on to my annual breakfast date with John (to clarify, we don’t only eat breakfast or go on dates once a year. That’s clear, right? It’s just our annual look back and look ahead date. You got it. Moving on.)
Here are the five things we always cover:
