Hi Soul Minimalist!
Before we get to the Quiet Question, this month marks the 8 year anniversary of the podcast. Eight actual human years! After replaying past episodes for the summer, I’ll be back on the mic next week with brand new episodes of The Next Right Thing 🎉. For our first one back I have John P. Freeman joining me for our annual conversation. Yes, his middle initial is also P. It was meant to be!
If you’re new you might like to peruse a curated list of some of our best episodes that offer Tips for Decision-Making right here. Be sure to subscribe to the podcast in your favorite listening app so you’ll be notified when new episodes are available. Here’s a list of various players all in one place.
Once a month here on Substack I ask a question designed to spark reflection, conversation, or a gentle nudge toward helping you explore your own interior landscape. One rule I’ve set: I will only ask questions that I’m willing to answer myself. So each post you’ll be able to read my answer before you leave yours.
Share your answers in the comments (which are always for paying subscribers only unless I say otherwise, which means it’s a smaller community of people) or you may just want to jot the question down in your own journal for personal reflection over time. As always, there’s no wrong.
Today’s question has me exploring themes around faith, Quaker practice, and some of the inspiration behind my current work. So far these questions have brought out some more vulnerable answers from me than what I typically write here which is interesting if not a little scary but here we go.
Here’s our Quiet Question for August:
